Miss Italia nel Mondo 2011 will be postponed to July 4, 2011

Road to Miss Italia nel Mondo 2011

Due to organizational matters, the Miss Italia nel Mondo 2011 beauty pageant, expected to take place at Reggio di Calabria on June 25th, has a new date: Monday, July 4th. The change of date was made official after the organization decided that it was in the best interest of the pageant, and to have everything much more organized. 50 contestants of Italian heritage from around the world will arrive in Italy on June 19 and 20 to take part in two weeks of activities. The finals of the contest will be telecast live in Italy and around the globe through RAI 1.

Meet the Finalists of Miss Italia nel Mondo 2011- The telecast will be broadcasted live from Reggio in Calabria on July 4, 2011

Pupo, Elisa Isoardi, Patrizia Mirigliani and Kimberly Mota A press conference to announce details of this year’s Miss Italia nel Mondo pageant will be held at the head quarters of RAI Via Asiago, in Rome. Attending the event were Antonio Azzalini from RAI Uno; the president of Calabria Giuseppe Scopelliti, organizer of the contest, and Miss Italia nel Mondo 2010, Kimberly Mota of the Dominican Repulic.

The telecast, which will be broadcasted live from Reggio in Calabria on July 4th, will be hosted by Pupo and Elisa Isoardi.

The 20th anniversary edition of the Miss Italia nel Mondo (2011) beauty pageant will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2011

The 20th anniversary edition of the Miss Italia nel Mondo beauty pageant will be held Saturday, June 25, at the Lungomare Falcomata, a popular beachfront, located in the Calabria region in Southern Italy.

40 beauties of italian ancestry from all over the world will compete in the annual event, created by Enzo Mirigliani in 1991.

The reigning Miss Italia nel Mondo Kimberly Castillo Mota (photo above), from the Dominican Republic will crown her successor at the end of contest.

Authorities at Reggio Calabria are excited about this year’s event, which will be telecast worldwide through RAI Italia. This exposure will be of outstanding promotion for the region.

Mirigliani is also the organizer of the official “Miss Italia” pageant, which used to send the winners to the Miss Universe competition until 1999.
